Amirali Ghasemi

Amirali Ghasemi (born 1980, Iran) is a curator, media artist, and art director based between Tehran and Berlin. In 1998, he founded Parkingallery, an independent project space in Tehran, which lead to establishing the moving image archive Parking Video Library (PVL). In 2014, he co-founded New Media Society, a network-based research platform and library in Tehran. Ghasemi acts as an artist and designer, holding exhibitions internationally. He is also a curator and art director of exhibitions, workshops, and talks across the globe, and publishes texts and research about the contemporary art scene in Iran. His numerous projects include Limited Access Festival for Video and Performance (2007-19). In 2022, he was appointed a member of the jury of VIDEONALE.19 – Festival for Video and Time-Based Arts, Bonn.
