Payam Laryan (born 1981 in Ahvaz) is a playwright, director and actor based in Tehran. He graduated in theater from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran in 2011 and holds a master’s degree in theater directing from the University of Art, Tehran (2013). He has received many awards for playwriting and directing in three consecutive years of Fadjr Theater Festival in Iran. He also received the prize of ITS Festival in Amsterdam for the play Parallel Wanderings.
