Neda Darzi (born 1971, Iran) is an artist and curator, and founder of Persbook Contemporary Art. She holds a B.F.A in painting from Azad University, Tehran, and a M.A. in painting from Tehran University. In her work as an interdisciplinary artist, she combines different media and crafts such as sewing, ceramics, and tapestry with photography and video. Her work deals with personal and body issues in the context of society and the environment. Darzi held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Iran and abroad, among others as part of a series of “New Art- exhibitins at TMoCA, Tehran 2002-07, at Davis Museum, Barcelona in 2009, and more recently at Elahi Gallery, Rasht (2019), Liam Galley, Tehran (2021), and Maryam Art Gallery, Kashan (2022). Darzi founded Persbook Contemporary Art in 2009, holding annual events with young artists and a focus on public, side-specific, and environmental art in different parts of Iran.
