Neda Ghiasi is an independent researcher in cultural and art Studies. She completed her PhD in Art Studies at the University of Art, Tehran. Her research area is focused on Shahnameh studies, hermeneutics, aesthetics, narratology, and philosophy of imagination. In recet years, her research has mainly focused on hermeneutics and its application to Persian art and literature, in particular, Shahnameh, the Book of Kings. She has translated Paul Ricoeur: a Guide for the Perplexed by David Pellauer into Persian and has written The Great Work of Narrative in Shahnameh (under publication by Mahmoud Afshar Foundation Press, Iran).
