Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Sigrid Weigel scholar of literary history and cultural theory, awardee of the Aby-Warburg-Preis (2016), was professor in Hamburg, Zürich, Berlin, Princeton, and director of the Research Center for Literature and Culture (ZfL Berlin); she worked on Benjamin, Warburg, Arendt, image theory, memory, and cultural history of science, among others.
