Shokoufeh Eftekhar, born in Karaj, is a translator and student of media art at the Academy of Media Arts (KHM) in Cologne. Having lived in several cities and having grown up with technology, U often identifies themselves as a blue circle moving on a map, changing locations and searching for answers to their questions. U’s practice is seen as translation, translating places, emotions, media, bodies, etc. U’s projects are based on the process of their journey to find temporary answers. They are mainly concerned with the experience of digital bodies, the illusions of transience and virtual identity.
