Saleh Barakat Gallery, a prominent Beirut institution, opened its doors in 2016 following extensive renovations to the historic Cinema Clemenceau building, later known as Masrah Al-Madina. Founded to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Agial Art Gallery, it continues the legacy of showcasing modern and contemporary Arab art. The gallery focuses on both established and emerging artists from Lebanon and the broader Arab world. It features a variety of exhibitions, from larger retrospectives to intimate, experimental showcases. The gallery also houses The Upper Gallery, dedicated to smaller, experimental works.
