The Qiz Qalasi Gallery, founded on March 19, 1999, by Salhab Mammadov, is located at the foot of Baku’s Maiden Tower. The gallery began with the mission of supporting Azerbaijani artists during the post-Soviet transition. It quickly became one of the first private galleries in Azerbaijan, offering a space for both well-established and emerging artists. Today, it plays a key role in promoting Azerbaijani art, showcasing works from classical and contemporary periods. With its focus on curatorial projects and fostering the development of Azerbaijan’s contemporary art scene, the gallery also contributes to building the local art market and public interest in fine arts.
