Negar Saboori is an architect, researcher, and painter. Her work critically examines contemporary construction practices in Tehran and across Iran. Since the 2000s, driven by the need for a deeper understanding of architecture and addressing the theoretical gaps in this field, she has delved into the history of Iranian architecture and explored architectural terminology in Persian dialects. Over the past two decades, she has conducted a series of theoretical studies on contemporary Iranian architecture and has organized and chaired seminars critiquing the overdevelopment of Tehran. Her notable contributions include an analysis of key architectural theories from 1965 to 1995 at the University of Art, Tehran, and an exploration of the conditions necessary for the development of architecture during her PhD in Philosophy of Art at Allameh Tabataba’i University.
