Klosterruine Berlin

Germany, Berlin

Klosterruine Berlin is the preserved ruin of a former Franciscan monastery and one of the city’s rare surviving medieval landmarks. As a listed heritage site, it offers visitors a tangible link to Berlin’s layered past while serving as a vibrant platform for contemporary art. Since 2016, the institution has invited artists to create site-specific works that engage with the historical architecture and its urban surroundings. Alongside exhibitions, Klosterruine Berlin hosts cultural and educational programs that activate the space, fostering dialogue between history, art, and the public in the heart of Berlin.
