Istanbul Modern (Istanbul Museum of Modern Art) is Türkiye’s first museum of modern and contemporary art, established in 2004 to present the nation’s artistic creativity within local and global conversations. Located on the Bosphorus in Istanbul’s Galataport district in a landmark Renzo Piano–designed building, it collects, exhibits, and interprets modern and contemporary painting, sculpture, photography, design, and media, while offering exhibitions, education, and public programmes that connect diverse audiences with art across disciplines.
