Helmut Draxler is an art historian, curator, and Professor of Art Theory at Merz Academy in Stuttgart. He has directed the Munich Kunstverein and teaches at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Draxler’s work focuses on contemporary and conceptual art, curatorial practice, and institutional critique. He has curated influential exhibitions and published extensively on art theory, exploring the political and social dimensions of art and curating.
