Gallery 127 in Marrakesh was founded by Nathalie Locatelli in 2006 and is dedicated to contemporary photography in Morocco. It is the first and only gallery in Morocco exclusively devoted to photography and the Maghreb. Since its creation, it has organized over 100 exhibitions of Moroccan and international photographers, and participated in prestigious fairs such as Paris Photo, Paris Photo LA, 1:54 African Art Fair and AKAA. The gallery has co-produced photography books and co-created the Nuits Photographiques d’Essaouira. Gallery 127 supports young artists in the development of their art as well as promoting the work of established artists.
