Depo İstanbul is a non-profit space for culture, art, and critical debate located in a former tobacco warehouse (Tütün Deposu) in Tophane, near the city center of Istanbul. Its program foregrounds historically and socially engaged practices through exhibitions, screenings, panel discussions, workshops, and the online journal Red Thread, with recurrent themes such as politics of memory, human rights, minority rights, urban transformation, and social movements. Initiated by the cultural organization Anadolu Kültür, Depo functions as a hub for artists, curators, academics, activists and local communities, offering an independent platform for critical voices and transregional collaborations linking Türkiye with the Balkans, the Caucasus, South West Asia, and North Africa.
