Werkhalle Wiesenburg Berlin

Germany, Berlin

The Werkhalle Wiesenburg Berlin is located in the women’s section (opened in 1907) of “Die Wiesenburg,” the former homeless shelter that operated on Wiesenstraße, Wedding, from 1896 to 1931. Since 2017, it has been run by Swedish artist Thomas Henriksson as a space for art in Berlin-Wedding. From April to November, the Werkhalle Wiesenburg Berlin hosts a series of art exhibitions and interdisciplinary events. These exhibitions include painting, sculpture, performance, video, and installation by Berlin-based and international artists. The varied music program ranges from classical, improvised, experimental, and electronic to rock, hand pans, and jam sessions.
