Sara Rajaei is an Iranian-Dutch video artist and filmmaker based in the Netherlands. Her work studies the notion of time by reflecting on memory psychology, oral history, and the absence of image. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague in 2002, she completed a two-year residency at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam. In 2009, she received the Prix de Rome basic prize. Rajaei’s work has been exhibited internationally, including at de Appel arts center, Stroom Den Haag, Rotterdam Film Festival, Rencontres Internationales, Art Brussels, Stiftelsen 3.14 (Bergen), Museum of Modern & Contemporary Art Rijeka, Galerie Nouvelles Images, and Tent Rotterdam.
