Salimeh Hosseini is a PhD candidate in Islamic art history at the University of Chicago and the editor of Museum Studies in Ghubar. She holds two BAs in Persian Language and Literature, and Archaeology from the University of Tehran, as well as two Masters in Philosophy of Art from the Tehran University of Art, and Humanities from the University of Chicago. She worked in various curatorial and research roles in the Arts of Asia department at the Art Institute of Chicago for nearly five years. Her interests in museum studies include collecting practices and exhibition strategies related to Islamic art, online curation and digital presence of Islamic art, repatriation of objects, and post-colonial studies.
