Nowruzgan is a laboratory devoted to the study of the culture(s) of the Persianate world, which facilitates the exploration of the multifaceted cultural aspects of “Nowruz Land.” Focusing on both material and non-material culture, Nowruzgan investigates the art, architecture, literature, language, and customs of this rich cultural mosaic. It orchestrates scholarly endeavors within the “digital humanities” domain, encompassing areas such as digital archives, data visualization, linked data, and ontologies. The Nowruzgan School provides virtual courses, lectures, and symposia, aiming at overcoming political and geographical barriers that often isolate researchers and limit access to cultural studies.
