Niloufar Lari is a PhD in Art Studies specializing in Islamic Art History from the University of Art, Tehran, and a lecturer at Sooreh University, Tehran. She holds a BA in Architecture and an MA in Philosophy of Art from Tehran University of Art. Her research explores Iranian cities, everyday life, urban experiences, and literature in the Safavid and early modern era. Niloufar Lari is a co-founder and managing editor of the Ghubar Islamic Art Studies group and contributes to Simurghnama, a project focused on compiling, documenting, and cataloging the material culture of the Persianate world, and Khamoosh, a collaborative research initiative aimed at preserving Iran’s sonic heritage.
