Negar Shariatnia is a Ph.D. student in Islamic Art History at Tehran University and the editor of the Codicology section at Ghubar Research Group. Specializing in Persian manuscripts and codicology, she is a research management member of the Simurghnama Project, which documents the artistic heritage of the Persianate cultural sphere. Her publications include a critical edition of Sirat al-Sutur, a Timurid treatise on calligraphy (2020), and two Manghit-era texts, Tazkirat al-Khattatin and Majmu‘at al-Katibin (2022), co-edited with Ali Safari Agh-Qaleh. These works examine Islamic calligraphy and manuscript traditions. Her secondary research interests include the history of Islamic jurisprudence and the interplay of religious contexts with the lives and practices of Muslim artists.
