Nazgol Ansarinia (b. 1979, Tehran) looks at the systems and networks shaping her daily life, such as everyday objects, routines, events, and experiences to explore tensions between private worlds and the broader socioeconomic realm. Her recent projects, spanning sculpture, installation, drawing, and video, examine architecture’s role in defining interior and exterior spaces and the boundaries between private and public realms. Ansarinia graduated from the London College of Communication in 2001 and earned an MFA from the California College of the Arts (CCA) in 2003. She moved back to Tehran in early 2004, where she is actively involved in the contemporary art scene. She has exhibited in Iran and around the world.
