The Museum für Photographie Braunschweig shows international contemporary photography and presents important photographic works from the second half of the 20th century to the modern day.
The museum also exhibits young and emerging photographers from university contexts including those awarded the “Prize for Documentary Photography” from the Wüstenrot Foundation.
In addition to contemporary aspects of photography, the museum regularly presents exhibitions of renowned photographers from the 19th century.
