Morsal Halimi

Iran, Tehran

Morsal Halimi (born 1995, Balkh) is a multimedia artist whose works reflect lived experiences within the contexts of migration, war, and the search for identity. In 1998, following the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, she migrated to Iran with her family and continued her education in public schools. She studied painting at the University of Science and Culture in Tehran, graduating in 2021, where she developed her personal artistic language while also becoming familiar with contemporary art theories. Halimi has participated in several group exhibitions, and her works in these contexts are recognized both as visual experiences and a voice for rethinking migration and collective memory.
