Mana Tashakorinia is a filmmaker and curator from Tehran, currently based in Helsinki. She holds an MA in ViCCA: Visual Culture, Curating, and Contemporary Art from Aalto University, Finland (2024). Her work explores folk stories, lore, rituals, narrative gaps, stones, puppets, and glass through the medium of film. In Iranian cinema, physical intimacy is not permitted on screen, and this dissonance between representation and lived experience has profoundly shaped her artistic practice. Tashakorinia's latest film "Every Stone Is A Person, And Every Person, A Stone" was selected for The One Minute’s collection “Passing the Love أضيئوا بالحب قلوبكم” and will be screened in Berlin, Shanghai, and Amsterdam.
