Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien is an exhibition space for contemporary art with a focus on current social and cultural issues. Central to its projects are the meaningful contextualisation of themes and consideration for diversity, internationality, and local relevance.
Alongside an exhibition program of around 6 projects per year, Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien runs an immersive events program of talks, tours, films and discussions.
Recent exhibitions include: Freistaat Barackia, which explores the history of Barackia (1870-187) an independent free state founded by migrant workers and disenfranchised urban dwellers in Kreuzberg, as a starting point to discuss decolonial urbanism, resistance and solidarities.
