Founded in 1987 in Istanbul, Galeri Nev İstanbul is one of well-established galleries in Turkey, playing a significant role in the development of contemporary art for over 35 years. IInitially focused on 20th-century modern Turkish artists, the gallery now showcases a new generation influencing contemporary art in Turkey. Galeri Nev promotes diversity in technique and content, supporting the visibility of artists nationally and internationally. The gallery has held retrospectives, solo, and group shows at various venues in Istanbul, in addition to regular displays at its permanent space. Since its founding, Galeri Nev has prioritized publishing, contributing the art history and archival awareness with more than a hundred publications including monographs, artist books and catalogues.
