Founded in Istanbul in 1987, Galeri Nev İstanbul has been a key player in the development of the Turkish art scene for over 35 years. Initially focusing on modern Turkish artists of the 20th century, the gallery now highlights a new generation that is shaping contemporary art in Turkey. It promotes diversity in technique and content, and increases the visibility of artists both nationally and internationally. In addition to its permanent space, the gallery has hosted retrospectives, solo and group exhibitions throughout Istanbul. Since its inception, the gallery has been committed to art history and archival awareness. Galeri Nev has published over 100 monographs, artist books and catalogues.
