Faramarz Talebi (born 1950 in Tehran) is a writer, playwright, and researcher based in Rasht. He was educated in Rasht and graduated from Tehran University in 1974 with a degree in history. He turned to fiction as a teenage – his first story was published in Ferdowsi Magazine in 1969. When he entered university, he also began writing plays and acting as a theater director. His publications include The Life and Works of Gregory Yeghikian (2001), the biography of Akbar Radi (2021), The History of the Armenians of Gilan (2006), The Theater of Gilan (2010), and The Memoirs of Seyyed Mohammad Taghi Mirabul al-Qasimi (2011).
