Edge of Arabia, founded in 2003 and based in London, promotes contemporary Arab art, focusing on Saudi artists. It gained international attention with its 2008 exhibition at SOAS, showcasing 17 Saudi artists and attracting over 13,000 visitors. The initiative fosters cultural dialogue between the Middle East and the West through exhibitions, education programs, and publications. Operating as a community interest company, Edge of Arabia supports artists and expands global understanding of contemporary Arab art from its London base at 7 Hertford Street. A landmark moment came in 2009, when it participated in the 53rd Venice Biennale and was described as ‘the best representation of Middle Eastern art in the Biennale’.
