The Danish Arts Foundation (Statens Kunstfond), established in 1964, is Denmark’s principal public arts funding body. It supports artistic development and cultural exchange across disciplines such as visual arts, literature, music, architecture, performing arts, crafts, and design. Administered by the Danish Ministry of Culture, the foundation operates through multiple expert committees and offers over 60 funding programs. These include grants, residencies, and international collaborations, aiming to promote Danish art both nationally and abroad. The foundation also facilitates public art initiatives and supports artists at various career stages.
