Founded in 2010, BEIRUT ART FAIR is an international modern and contemporary art fair, focused on modern and contemporary art from the Middle East, North Africa, and the Mediterranean region. It showcases the region’s diverse and dynamic contemporary art. Each year, the fair attracts a growing number of collectors, art professionals, institutions, and art enthusiasts. Following the events of August 4, 2020, when 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate exploded in the port and destroyed large parts of Beirut, the fair reaffirmed its commitment to the region after Beirut’s 2020 events by launching the MENART FAIR. BEIRUT ART FAIR continues supporting regional artists’ visibility, engaging the Lebanese diaspora, and providing a platform for exchange and collaboration across cultures.
