The Baku Photography House, established in 2019 in Icherisheher’s iconic Chain House, is Azerbaijan’s first dedicated photography space. It fosters appreciation and growth of photography, supporting both emerging and established local talent while showcasing global perspectives through exhibitions, workshops, and collaborations. Its programs highlight Azerbaijani photographers’ work, blending historical narratives with contemporary themes, and include an extensive archive documenting the nation’s culture and history. By engaging in cross-cultural exchanges, the Photography House serves as a vital hub for the visual arts in Azerbaijan and beyond.
