Azadeh Latifkar earned her PhD in the History of Islamic Art from Tehran University of Art in 2021. An independent scholar based in Iran, she serves as an editor at Ghubar Islamic Studies Research Group and is a member of the Jamnama Project, which examines the historical and cultural aspects of textile crafts in pre-modern Iran. Her research focuses on the art and architecture of medieval West and Central Asia, Islamic art historiography, and the cultural interactions between Persian and Turkish traditions in the Persianate world. Her recent article, “The Reinvention of Padishah-i Islam in the Visual Representations of Ghazan Khan,” was published in Manazir Journal in 2023.
