Arter is a contemporary art institution in Istanbul, Türkiye, founded in 2010 by the Vehbi Koç Foundation to establish a sustainable platform for producing, exhibiting, and interpreting contemporary art. Originally on İstiklal Street, it moved in 2019 to a landmark 18,000 m² building in Dolapdere designed by Grimshaw Architects. Arter’s programme spans dynamic exhibitions, performances, talks, publications, and learning activities, foregrounding both Turkish and international artistic practices.
