The Arab Image Foundation (AIF) is an independent association redefining photography and image practices through a blend of artistic creation, research, and archiving. Its collection includes over 500,000 photographic objects and documents from and related to the Middle East, North Africa, and the Arab diaspora, gathered over 20 years by artists and researchers and through donations. The AIF looks to engage a broad regional and international community in experimental thought and practice that extends the photographic concept. Through its digital platform, Beirut space, and its projects and partnerships, AIF encourages artists, researchers, and the public to learn, discover, create, and exchange ideas.
