Akram Ahmadi Tavana

Akram Ahmadi Tavana (b. 1982) is a writer, curator, and art educator based in Iran. She holds an MA in Painting from Al-Zahra University in Tehran. Her practice explores art, literature, and history in exhibitions and publications. Her research extends beyond regional and cultural boundaries, with a particular focus on Iranian visual culture and contemporary art. Among her ongoing curatorial projects are explorations of the Shahnameh in modern and contemporary Iranian art. Ahmadi Tanava has developed a research-based curatorial project on art and migration, stemming from her work teaching art to Afghan migrant women, where she seeks to introduce innovative approaches to art education.
