This video podcast is part of the newest issue #16 of our multimedia online publication mohit.art NOTES. You can watch it live on our website. It features guest editor and artist Rana Severi, as well as the other contributors: filmmaker and curator Mana Tashakorinia; researcher and writer (n)iki shadloo; and lens-based artist Shahrzad Darafsheh. They will be joined by art historian and curator Hannah Jacobi from mohit.art to discuss the idea of hope, which is becoming more important and relevant every day.
Together, they will discuss magical beliefs and poetic knowledges, how text and images are connected to experiences of migration and the deep desire to belong, creating a “third language” for hope, and the importance of ‘possibility’ that exists in every artistic process.
