Sima Hassandokht Firooz

Sima Hassandokht Firooz (born 1982 in Lahijan) is a researcher and writer based in Tehran. She holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics in 2021 from Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, as well as degrees in Social Studies and Translation. She publishes as a writer and translator in the fields of Gilaki language, critical analysis of discourse, metaphor, history of concepts and speech acts. Her most recent research is in the field of Reinhardt Koselleck’s history of concepts, using his approach to study the lexical field of the subaltern in the socio-political sphere of contemporary Iran. Her other areas of research and interest are Persian language, contemporary history of Iran, critical studies, translation, and editing.
