The MAO Museo d’Arte Orientale, established in 2008 within the historic Palazzo Mazzonis, boasts one of the most esteemed collections of Asian art in Italy and Europe. As a nonprofit, permanent institution, the museum is dedicated to serving society by conducting research, collecting, conserving, interpreting, and exhibiting both tangible and intangible heritage. Open to the public, the museum is accessible and inclusive, fostering diversity and sustainability. The museum operates and communicates in an ethical and professional manner, involving communities to provide a range of educational, enjoyable, reflective and knowledge-sharing experiences. It has recently inaugurated a new phase, called “Tempo Presente,” which encompasses artistic and creative activities through a residency program for artists and curators.
