The Agadir Musée d’Art exhibits works by both Moroccan and international artists and houses an important collection of national cultural heritage. Inaugurated in April 2023, the museum’s permanent exhibition features 150 works generously donated by art patron El Khalil Belguench. Drawing on the material heritage of the Agadir region, including jewelry and carpets, the exhibition offers a dialogue between objects and their representation/interpretation through modern and contemporary works of art. The exhibition is divided into five sections: Moroccan traditions and cultural identity over the centuries, a panorama of exotic and modern urban scenes, abstraction and memory, the reproduction of natural landscapes, and the human body.
